Chapter 60
Chapter 60:
What, Samuel was kidnapped?
Dolores got up immediately. Her action was too fast that her leg scraped on the crate, but she didn’t feel any pain.
She was just worried about her son’s safety.
Anxiety and fear filled her chest. That child may have seemed more mature than other children his age, but he was still a child after all.
He ran out of the LEO Corporation, galloping all the way to get into the car.
Every time he encountered a red light along the way, he gripped the steering wheel tightly, as he couldn’t wait a second longer.
Twenty minutes had passed when he arrived at the police station.
The police officer led Dolores to the interrogation room.
Matthew and Samuel sat across from each other.
Samuel was not at all startled when Matthew looked at him fiercely.
“Little boy, tell me, why would I have to kidnap you?”. Matthew glared at the small but calm boy.
Although he had been framed, Matthew must admit that he was a smart little boy.
He was curious to know what his parents were like and how they were able to give birth to such an outstanding child.
Without saying a word, Samuel clasped his hands to his chest and insisted that Matthew was kidnapping him.
When Dolores came in and saw her son, she pounced on him and hugged him tightly. She looked at him and asked anxiously, “Did you hurt yourself?” Samuel shook his head and said, “Mommy, I’m fine. Don’t worry…”
“Are you okay, did someone kidnap you and you still say you’re okay? Aren’t you usually so smart? Didn’t Mommy tell you that you can’t talk to strangers or eat things they give you? How can you still be kidnapped?” Fear was the heart of love.
This phrase could be used on her right now, because she rarely spoke this harshly to her son.
She was really scared.
Samuel’s eyes were slightly reddened and he searched Dolores’ anxious face,
“I’m sorry, Mommy. I didn’t want you to worry about me.”
Dolores’ heart softened. She hugged her son tightly, burying her face deep in his arms, “Mommy didn’t mean to scold you, I was just worried about you.”
Samuel sniffed his nose, “I know.” As he said this, he fixed his eyes on the man who was looking at him at that moment. If it happened again, he would keep doing it.
Dolores had calmed down by that point and thought, who was the bastard who had the guts to kidnap her son?
She put her son down on the floor and stood up, “Officer…”
Before she could ask anything, she saw a man sitting in front of the table in handcuffs. She breathed lightly, how could he be here, “You…”noveldrama
Dolores felt very confused, what exactly had happened here?
Matthew’s eyes inspected Dolores and the child. This child looked very much like Dolores.
Was he her son?
He should be this big now.
“He’s the one who kidnapped your son.” The police officer in charge of this case said to Dolores.
What?
Matthew kidnapped her son?
Dolores seemed to realize something. She turned her face and looked at her son.
Samuel immediately lowered his head and looked at his toes.
At that moment, Bryan Eastwood, the branch manager in another Country A city arrived with a lawyer, “Mr. Nelson, our lawyer has negotiated with the police. It should be resolved soon.”
When Bryan got the call, his jaw nearly dropped. Child abduction?
Did Matthew have a special hobby?
Yet he had been working at the exchange for many years.
As far as he knew, Matthew was not a pedophile.
“What happened, Mr. Nelson, which child did you kidnap?” Bryan really wanted to know which child was so cute to the point that Matthew wanted to kidnap him.
A child was born innocent. No one would believe it was the child who framed him.
They were just looking for trouble being adults.
Children were naive.
How could they have so many perverse ideas?
On the contrary, Samuel was much more mature than children his age.
He was very intelligent.
Matthew lifted his chin and allowed him a glimpse of Samuel.
Bryan’s eyes followed Matthew’s hint and looked over. When he saw a small boy standing in front of the table with only half of his head exposed, he looked solemn.
This child looked really charming. He had a white, delicate face as well as black, sparkling eyes. When he was upright, he looked a little like Matthew.
Bryan was startled at the thought. He turned his head and looked at Matthew. Right now, he really thought this boy looked like Matthew.
He thought carefully, how was that possible?
There were only two women who appeared at Matthew’s side. One of them was his wife, whom he had not seen before. He learned that they had been divorced less than a month into their marriage.
The other was Matthew’s former secretary, Helen, who was now the young lady of the Herbert Family. Ever since she orchestrated a car accident and lied that she had had a miscarriage, Matthew had long since despised her when he knew the truth.
No matter what, Matthew would not have children.
“Aren’t you going to say anything?” Matthew looked at Dolores. She was obviously smiling, but there was no smile at that moment.
Samuel was afraid that Matthew might intimidate Dolores. He took her by the hand and stepped forward to protect her.
He looked like a real man.
Dolores was touched, but sighed helplessly. She patted her son’s shoulder, “Good boy, wait here for mommy.”
Dolores just wanted to get out, and the lawyer had solved the case. The police officer said Matthew could leave now.
Dolores didn’t want to pursue this matter as well.
After all, it wasn’t a real kidnapping.
Matthew rubbed his wrist. For the first time in his life, he was handcuffed, and framed by a child.
Dolores took Samuel’s hand and walked out of the police station. She couldn’t help but squat down and ask, “Why did you do this, can a good little boy lie?”
Samuel remained silent. He took on Dolores’s stubborn attitude.
“Say something!” Dolores frowned. When did this child learn to lie?
It was such a big lie that they even ended up at the police station.
Dolores was so pissed off she gasped, but resisted hitting him, “Are you trying to piss me off?”
Samuel held her hands tightly and suddenly shouted, “He’s a dirty bastard, why can’t I call the police and have him arrested?”
Dolores was stunned for a moment, what was he talking about?
Samuel wiped Dolores’ mouth with his little hand, “I don’t want him to kiss you. He’s a bad guy, a thief, a fool. He’s bullied Mommy, so I’m going to take care of him!”.
Matthew walked out of the police station and heard a series of criticisms from Samuel.
It was the first time he had ever heard anyone scold him so gently.
“You guys go wait for me in the car.” Matthew came down the stairs and said, “Little boy.”
Dolores took her son in her arms and eyed Matthew warily. “He’s still a boy, and you’re all right now. Please don’t make a fuss.”
Matthew smiled faintly, “The unpleasant surprises in my life were all caused by this little boy. Do you want me not to make a fuss about it?”
Dolores instinctively took a step back. Regarding this man, she just wanted to stay away from him, “What do you want?”
Samuel’s little face was annoyed as he looked at Matthew.
He wanted to poke a hole in his face.
Matthew wasn’t angry at all and walked two steps towards them. He reached out to pinch Samuel’s face and teased him.
Samuel twisted his face and Matthew couldn’t touch his cheeks. He paused his hand in the air for a moment before withdrawing it. When he withdrew his hand, his fingers slid down Dolores’ cheek and he taunted her, “The mother should pay the debt on behalf of her son.”
