The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 342

Tessa couldn't bear to just sell the company away like this to pay off her debts. She didn't want to go back to the way her life was before she married Matthew.

She had to work in a soul-draining office job and be bossed around by her superiors only to earn peanuts. Forget the luxury brands and cars. She would have to sleep on purchasing even a tube of lipstick. When she was met with Matthew's ice-cold gaze, she sighed. "Follow me to the meeting room." After that, she turned and led the way.

Upon hearing Matthew's familiar, steady footsteps behind her, tears fell from her eyes. Matthew used to handle everything in the company. All she had to do was spend the money.

She went to the beauty salon, shopped around, and had a cup of coffee every day. She lived like royalty, but she just had to go and divorce him and take over everything in the company.

Now, things had ended up like this. She wouldn't be able to pay off her debts even if she sold the company.

When she got to the meeting room, she wiped away her tears and sat on the chair at the end of the table.

Tracy went to sit opposite Tessa. Meanwhile, Matthew slid into a chair from the side and sat down nonchalantly.noveldrama

Tessa looked at Tracy, then at Matthew. She stared at him, unable to take her eyes off him. It was like she was under a spell.

Tracy drummed her knuckles on the table. "Please look at me, Ms. Sanders. Let's negotiate the price."

It was as if Tessa hadn't heard her. She stared at Matthew, saying miserably, "You created Evergreen Group with your own hands. Ms. Lauder says that it'll be turned into a research institute once it's been purchased. Can you really bear to see the company be shut down like this?"

Matthew said coldly, "What does that have to do with me?"

Tessa smiled bitterly. That was true. This company was now completely hers. She stared at the man who used to think she was his world-the man who was willing to go to prison for her.

It felt like a knife was stabbed

through her heart. All the money in the world would eventually run out.

Even the best sports car in the world

would eventually turn to rust

The most precious thing in the world was the love that a man had for a woman, but she threw it away like it was nothing.

Her tears flowed freely. "I was

wrong. I was terribly... terribly...

wrong. Could you please give me a chance? Just one is enough. As long as you do, I'll treasure it forever."

Matthew raised an eyebrow and stood up. "If you're not selling this, we're leaving." Tracy immediately got up too, acting as if she was going to follow Matthew out. Upon seeing this, Tessa cried out quickly, "I'm selling it. Let's talk about the price." If she didn't sell it, she wouldn't even be able to step out of this building. Matthew sat down again. "You have no right to talk to me. You may talk to Tracy."

Tessa looked pained as she turned to Tracy. "Let's talk."

Although Tracy was the president, Matthew was the boss. Tessa really didn't have the right to talk to Matthew.

Tracy opened the folder and pushed it toward Tessa. "This is the price that we're offering, as well as the agreement. Please read through it carefully." Tessa only glanced at the lump sum. It wasn't much, but it was more than what the other companies offered. It was a merciful amount. "Alright. I'll take it."

Tracy nodded. "Please sign your name there. Once you're done, you may leave."

Tessa took up the pen and wrote her name on the document. "I thought I had everything. But in less than a month, I lost my man, my money, and earned myself a shit ton of debt instead." en
